Rights for people with nontraditional gender orientation have changed dramatically in the past decade. Today, it is legal nationwide to marry a person of your same gender and sexual identification, a right known as same-sex marriage.
While many states and cities have passed non-discriminatory laws,(3) many others, including North Carolina, have not yet embraced full legal equality for the LGBTQ community. Persons with nontraditional gender may be fired from their job, evicted from their home, or even denied medical treatment because of their gender identity or expression.
The Graham, Nuckolls, Conner Law Firm has pioneered LGBTQ law. We were among the first to champion same-sex marriage, adoption by same-sex couples, and non-discrimination law.
Our legal team will make sure you have fair representation in issues of discrimination, gender expression, and transgender law, in the workplace, in service locations, and in other public areas.
Despite much progress, lesbian, gay, and bisexual people still report much higher rates of being bullied, fired, or denied a job, promotion, or lease when compared with heterosexual people. Among transgender Americans, the rates of workplace and housing discrimination are reported as high as 25-30%.
Maybe you believe you have experienced discrimination of some kind and want a fair chance to be heard. Or you may wish to adopt a child with your same-sex partner or spouse and have encountered obstacles.
We will walk beside you in these struggles as your constant ally. We will protect your rights and fight for you.
The Graham, Nuckolls, Conner Law Firm stands up for your rights and protects your identification.
(3)(3) Non-discrimination laws: These legal protections mean a person cannot be fired, not hired, or discriminated against because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
[Other possible pop-outs: Transgender, LGBTQ]

We understand that the disputes facing you and your family can seem daunting. It is our goal to put you at ease.
“[GNC and] Tim Heinle have made themselves available to the point I felt like their only client! I can account numerous times where a simple phone call to acknowledge receipt of an email or miss call, just to tell me he’s on it and/or will respond in detail after he’s out of court! Those small details are so important to me, just knowing that when they are working for you… THEY WORK FOR YOU! Not one bad thing to say about The Graham Nuckolls Conner Law Firm!”
